The little girl was maybe five years old, and she was crying when she walked into my store. I have a small store in a busy shopping mall, two doors down from a large department store. It was hard for her to talk because of all the tears. By the time she'd calmed down enough to talk, I'd already figured out she was lost.

Her name was Rachel and she was adorable, smart and very scared. She was at the big store with mommy, and she'd stopped to look at a toy, and suddenly mommy wasn't there! She'd looked everywhere in the big store, then checked at the stores next door, but her mommy was gone. The first thing that occurred to me is we must find out her mom's cell phone number and call her. I decided to get online and try a cell phone lookup. I'd assured Rachel we'll do everything possible to find her family, and until then she'll be just like one of my children. That was okay with her, and she'd even cheered up.

I know a thing or two about finding information online. Luckily, Rachel knew her mommy's full name, and it was safe to assume we live in the same state. The cell phone lookup was my only hope in finding the woman's cell phone number. The only way I'll be able to call and let her know where to find Rachel. I was sure she was beside herself with worry, looking for her daughter.

Sure enough, it looked like the second person on the list fit Rachel's mother's profile. I dialed the number and heard hysterical crying on the other end. As the crying person tried to talk coherently, I waited for her to calm down a little before I told her I had her precious little girl. The screeching intensified and then the phone died. It only took a couple of minutes for her tearful mother to burst through the door and embrace her lost treasure. The grateful woman hugged and thanked me, and I was just happy to have been able to help, but also to pass on the knowledge about this awesome thing called a cell phone lookup.

Cell Phone Directory Finds Injured Child's ParentsBy: Elena Tentser | 02/06/2009
Several days ago, when I came to pick up my son from school, I found myself in the middle of a stressful situation: one of the children on the playground had fallen and hurt her arm. The counselor did her best to locate the child's parents, but the only phone number they had on file for them was the home number, and they were not back from work just yet. Then it occurred to me that we could look up their cell phone number in an online cell phone directory.

Cell Phone Lookup Reconnects High School Best FriendsBy: Elena Tentser | 02/06/2009
When best friends Sandy and Emma were still in grammar school, they pinky-swore to each other to never drift apart. Regardless of where life was going to take each of them, they intended to stay in touch and always know each other's whereabouts and contact information so they can talk and visit often. At the time, they had no idea how they would accomplish that: this was before anyone ever heard of cell phone lookup.

Move Over, Phone Books, It's the Age of the Cell Phone Directory!By: Elena Tentser | 02/06/2009
The public debate about the abolition of routine phone book dumping is heating up. I had no idea people are so angry about it. They are, in fact, so angry that some states are beginning to consider new legislature to prevent the unnecessary tree-killing and recycling efforts. Many are comparing the annual 'present' on their doorstep to a pile left by a stray dog.

Cell Phone Lookup, Thanks for Making My Day Easier!By: Elena Tentser | 02/06/2009 | News & Society
If there is one thing one can count on in this uncertain world, it's the cell phone lookup. Here's the deal: my sister is moving back to the Estados Unidos from Panama. Yeah, she's been trying her hand at making a fresh start halfway across the world, but it's not that easy. I guess the time to admit defeat and the fact that no matter how bad it gets here, it's always even worse almost everywhere else, has come.

Cell Phone Lookup Sets the Record StraightBy: Elena Tentser | 02/06/2009 | News & Society
I have a special male friend. Lately, he has been feeling very angry with women. He is a wonderful, fascinating man but he has mild disabilities: a nearly-fatal car crash had disfigured part of his face. Sadly, ours is a truly shallow society where people appraise each other based on factors which are, at best, skin-deep. He wrote honestly in his online profile about the obstacles he must deal with in his life, looking for a woman who would be willing to dig deeper and overlook the obvious physical drawbacks.

Cell Phone Lookup Reunites Friends ... AgainBy: Elena Tentser | 02/06/2009 | News & Society
When I was in high school, I had a best friend. We were in the same grade but I was brand new and she was a veteran, and she took me under her wing. Lana was smart, cute and outspoken, a chubby little ball of energy. We stayed friends past high school and into our 20s. I married my high school sweetheart, and Lana began to date his best friend, and we all hung out together. Before long, those two were married, too.

Reverse Phone Lookup Saves Mafia BrideBy: Elena Tentser | 02/06/2009 | Criminal
A close friend of mine, Irina, had almost married into the mafia. Honest to god. She met and started dating this guy named Tony, and everyone joked around about his last name secretly being Soprano. It was close enough, Sotorino, and Tony laughed at all this good-naturedly.
