Pacific Gardens is a cohousing Canada community located in Nanaimo Vancouver Island BC Canada. The Pacific Gardens cohousing community is creating a safe and friendly environmentally community that is helping neighbors become friends and friends become neighbors. Pacific Gardens Cohousing Canada Community is the first cohousing community in Nanaimo. The community is actually the first in the cohousing project in Nanaimo. The community will be set on over four acres of land at 347 7th Street in Nanaimo. There is an extensive green space on the four acres which is home to natural flora and fauna as well as heritage apple trees and a seasonal pond.

 

The Nanaimo property adjoins a park along the salmon filled Chase River that provides many wonderfully amazing views of Mount Benson. The cohousing Canada community will include a total of twenty five strata title units. The community offers residents free a simple strata title ownership home which means that the household owns the home that they live in with a share of the common facilities. The Pacific Garden Cohousing Community offers one, two and three bedroom units as well as three bedroom units plus den units that allows Pacific Garden to accommodate families as well as seniors and singles of all ages.

 

In the center of this particular cohousing Canada community in Nanaimo there is a common house along with an atrium and pedestrian walkway that leads to all of the units. This particular space within the community is useable by all residents. The common facilities will include a large kitchen across from the dining and activity hall in which residents can often attend community meals. The cohousing Canada community will also including teen and children?s playrooms, a woodworking shop as well as craft rooms. There will also be guest rooms available for visitors.
