The Mark 1L is a light-weight, shoulder fired 6-shot grenade launcher with extended 140mm chambers as against the regular 105mm chambers of the Mark 1S. The additional 35mm chamber area in this 3rd generation launcher enables this gun to fire an wide variety of ammo for different applications. The effective range of the MGL Mark 1L is 400 metres and its ammo can be fired in fast succession of 6 rounds in under 3 seconds. The Mark 1L is a semi-automatic weapon builtsimply to offer uncompromising reliability and efficiency.

The MGL Mark 1 L is ideally designed to be used by military forces where its extraordinary flexibility can be used in a live combat or peacekeeping environment. The MGL Mark 1L enables the user to attack a diverse range of targets than possible with the standard 40mm MGL. The Mark 1 has developed mythical status like the Ak-47 over time for rugged, reliability in all conditions. In use by armies from 39 countries around the globe. The large range of ammo for the 40mm grenade caliber, enables it to fire all DODTI and NATO Standard 40x46mm ( low velocity ) grenades.

Close Range is 15 m
Effective Range is 150m
Extreme Range is 400m

Nearly all explosive 40mm ammo has got fuses which arm only when the grenade has safely passed the operator, (a distance of 15-31m, though some of them were produced with only 5m delay for street combat ) forestalling unwelcome 'accidents'. This setting can be removed however,, ( still, watch out not to screw up ) .

It provides the grenadier with greater firepower, and is reserved for light army units and riot police. It can shoot 6 shots in under 3 seconds, covering a 20m x 60m area with explosions. This weapon is supplied with a folding stock. The MGL is used all round the world.
